Stacie Haneline, Executive Director
Ms. Haneline earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Converse College, where she studied under Doug Weeks. She received her Master of Music in Performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York City where she studied with Marc Silverman and Arcady Aranov. Following graduate studies she continued her education at Juilliard with the late Joseph Raieff, and later with Marilyn Neeley. She is a professional accompanist who has performed with artists from the New York Philharmonic, New York City and Metropolitan Operas, Boston Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony and Opera, Honolulu Symphony and Opera, Cleveland Orchestra, Sydney (Australia) Orchestra and more. As a staff accompanist she has worked at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Columbia University, Barnard University, University of Maryland, Hawaii University, Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble and Symphony Chorus, Opera Australia, and Canberra (Australia) University. She worked as a repetiteur the Director of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Conservatory, Sharolyn Kimmorley.
Now residing in Omaha, NE, Ms. Haneline is the Executive Director of the Omaha Chamber Music Society. She has served as a board member for the past five years, as well as performing for many Omaha Chamber Music Society performances. In addition, Ms. Haneline is Professor of piano and collaborative pianist at Iowa Western Community College. She is the Music Director and Organist for the Augustana Lutheran Church, and is on the accompanying staff for Opera Omaha. Ms. Haneline performs with the Omaha Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, and is an active chamber music player throughout the Omaha area.
Lynn Lawson, Treasurer
Lynn Lawson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Pomona College in Claremont, California where she studied flute with Roland Moritz. Following graduation, she chose to pursue a career in business management, earning a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She pursued a career in banking and services to financial institutions, holding positions in bank operations, marketing, product management and development, and general strategy. After many years away from performing music, she took up the flute again, studying with Paul Parker and Nestor Herszbaum. Ms. Lawson has performed with the Omaha Symphony, the Des Moines Symphony and the Heartland Philharmonic. She has been an active member of the Board of Directors of both Opera Omaha and the Girl Scouts-Great Plains Council. She is Past-President and Advisor of the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras, and is Treasurer of the Omaha Chamber Music Society. These opportunities allow her contribute to the community while combining her backgrounds in music and business.
Patricia M. Fornes, Member At Large
Ms. Pat Fornes is senior defense analyst supporting the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration and U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base. Ms. Fornes is also a retired colonel from the Air Force, retiring in 2001 after serving 26 years. Her Air Force experience included serving as the Chief of the Strategic Command Commander's Staff Group and Pentagon assignments in Air Force Legislative Liaison and the Directorate of Air and Space Operations. The first woman officer to serve on a combat missile crew, Ms. Fornes was also the first woman to command a missile operations squadron, the same squadron once commanded by her father. Ms. Fornes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and her master's degree from Webster University, St. Louis, MO.
Born in California, Ms. Fornes grew up on military bases throughout the country. She and her husband where first stationed in Omaha from 1984 and found they were "Nebraskans" and decided move back to Omaha following their military service. They are happy to be back, in large part, because of the vibrant music scene and especially having the opportunity to support the Omaha Chamber Music Society.
Darci Gamerl, Member At Large
Darci Gamerl performs internationally as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She is currently second oboist with the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra and a member of the ANALOG Arts Ensemble and the Aeon Trio. The trio recently premiered the work of Jonathan Leshnoff, teaming with the Susan G. Komen foundation to raise awareness and support for breast cancer research.
Ms. Gamerl has made regular appearances with the Omaha Chamber Music Society and has participated in the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific in British Columbia, her home province. She has performed with the Opera Theatre and Music Festival in Lucca, Italy through her alum the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She also greatly enjoys historical performance art via the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, the Bach Festival and Omaha Baroque.
She is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Chicago Conservatory of the Performing Arts with her teacher and mentor, Peggy Michel. In her free time Ms. Gamerl loves to run, cook and travel.
Linda Hulsey, Member At Large
Linda Hulsey is the Supervisor of Music Education K-12 for Omaha Public Schools in Omaha, Nebraska. Previously to this position, she taught K-4 vocal music and chorus in Pennsylvania and was the founder and director of the Cantilena Children's Choir (grades 4-8). Linda holds a B.S in Music Education and Masters of Music Education degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Kodaly Certification from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and Administrative Certification in Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Hulsey is a past regional representative on the OAKE Board and served as curriculum/instruction coordinator for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association from 1997-2000. Additionally, Mrs. Hulsey holds membership in MENC, OAKE. MKMEA. PSKOR, and ACDA. She has conducted workshops in the Kodaly concept of music education throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and Nebraska. Linda has taught Level II Kodaly Methodology at Nebraska Wesleyan University/University of Nebraska-Omaha in the summers from 1999 to the present.
Douglas M. Marshall III, Member At Large
Mr. Marshall is a senior missile defense analyst supporting Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense Organization and U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base. Mr. Marshall is also a retired Air Force colonel, having served in various missile and command and control operations. His assignments included: the Office of the Secretary of Defense Correspondence and Directives at the Pentagon; US Strategic Command; Strategic Air Command; and Air Mobility Command. Mr. Marshall also commanded the Operations Support Squadron at Dover Air Force Base, DE. He earned his bachelor's degree from Norwich University, VT, and his master's from the University of Oklahoma.
Born and raised in Dutchess County, NY, Mr. Marshall first lived in Omaha in the mid 1980's and thought it a great city so he and his wife decided to live in Nebraska following their military service. Supporting the Omaha Chamber Music Society is indicative of Mr. Marshall's life-long appreciation of classical music and his aim to help keep Omaha a great place for the lively arts.
Roz Parr, Member At Large
Roz Parr is currently a student at Creighton University. She has studied both piano and voice and will continue her lessons through college. Roz is thrilled to be a part of the Omaha Chamber Music Society and hopes to do all she can to contribute to this great organization.
Christy A. Rentmeester, Member At Large
Christy Rentmeester is a member of the faculty in the Creighton University School of Medicine whose scholarship and teaching focuses upon health policy and ethics. A philosopher by training, Dr. Rentmeester's work draws upon humanities and the arts, illuminating themes such as underservice to mentally ill people, racial and ethnic inequalities in healthcare, and processes by which health professionals are socialized during their training. She enjoys playing a troubadour harp, but contributes to chamber music appreciation most productively as an avid listener of old and new music.
