The Omaha Chamber Music Society believes that chamber music is a unique form of communication and expression, with a special ability to touch people. The Omaha Chamber Music Society has active outreach efforts in the health care community. During the 2015-2016 season, OCMS musicians will perform three times on the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Music as Medicine series. OCMS also has an ongoing collaboration with the Hospice House to bring live music to residents and their loved ones, offering comfort and solace during their time of need.

Beginning in 2012, the Omaha Chamber Music Society has presented annual public concerts at the Jewish Community Center. These free events have received generous support from the Sokolof Javitch Music Fund, and have been enjoyed by standing room only audiences. In April 2016, the widely acclaimed Amernet String Quartet performed at the Jewish Community Center and at Temple Israel. This concert was the culmination of a three-day residency in the Omaha community.
